July 8-27, 2007

We are excited to offer girls and boys entering grades 7, 8, 9 and 10 a dynamic 3-week educational and recreational program that also allows them to experience life in a boarding school setting. Limited to 50 students with a teaching staff of twelve, students benefit from individual attention and a strong sense of community.

Kent School Summer Writers Camp, created in 1996, provides small classroom and workshop instruction in creative writing, along with recreational activities that take advantage of our idyllic location on the banks of the Housatonic River in the Berkshire foothills of northwestern Connecticut

Summer is a good time to concentrate on a specific academic area with lots of personal attention from teachers. It's also a good time to have fun with new friends of different backgrounds and interests and get a firsthand idea of the great advantages of living where you learn. We hope this combination of creative writing and recreational activities appeals to you and we welcome your interest in Kent School Summer Writers Camp.
